The original Privilege catamaran models were designed by Jeantot Marine, founded by René Bernard and Philippe Jeantot in 1985.

In 1996 Jeantot Marine was sold to La Groupe SGGR. Subsequently Alliaura Marine was formed, which continues to develop the Privilege catamaran line, working with different designers, most notably with Marc Lombard.

Upon entering a Privilege catamaran expect to be greeted with a spacious, high-finished design using the finest woods and leathers. Fine carpentry below decks is matched with splendid teak cockpits which open up to large transoms offering easy access to the water.

Privileges have a trademark central pod which substantially extends the internal volume, giving Privilege staterooms the edge in spaciousness. The central pod also allows the designers more flexibility to offer alternative cabin layouts. The yacht itself sits higher in the water than most of its peers.

You can find Privilege catamarans available for charter in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. 	Privilege 61 Catamaran Charter - Caribbean Motu is a Privilege 615 sailing catamaran launched by Alliaura Marine in 2006. This luxury catamaran is the latest addition to the Privilege range; a true example of the next generation of charter yachts. 	Privilege 745 Catamaran Charter - Caribbean The Privilege shipyard in France has just finished its third Privilege 745. This is the largest catamaran built by Privilege. The architect Marc Lombard said he designed a very stable boat that could satisfy both sail and power yacht fans. She can average 15 knots sailing and 12 knots motoring. 	Privilege 65 Catamaran Charter - Caribbean The 1999 Privilege 65 is also still a very popular model. There is a Privilege 65 catamaran, Felicia, currently available out of St Thomas or Tortola.
